Impactive Strategies

Q: Tell us about your business and how long in business:
A: Busy business owners hire me to help them work less and achieve more. They are tired of working nights and weekends because they didn't get everythingdone during the week! Specifically, I help business owners who are looking for a way to set and reach their goals with ease, balance, and fun, but instead are experiencing some overload and frustration from a schedule that seems hectic and full. The system just isn't cutting it anymore (it USED to work . . . ) and though they are busy all day, they just aren't accomplishing the big goals. In fact, they feel as if the "day got away from them" . . . and having time for family, friends, and fun is a dream! I started ImpactiveStrategies as a part-time, “I wonder if I can do this business” in 2010 and transitioned full-time in 2013.

Q: What inspired you to start your own business?
A: Left to my own devices I would work from the moment I woke until I fell into bed exhausted. My life was work, work, work . . . more work, and then sleep. Family activities went to the back burner. Exercise was non-existent. Friends forgot what I looked like. But I was sure that “everything would be different” in just a few more weeks when I caught up. This lifestyle led to a health crisis, which made me realize I needed to create a different way of living that was in opposition to how I “naturally” want to exist. Once I realized how I could work in a way that was enjoyable, challenging, AND healthy, I realized I could help other people do the same . . . and Impactive Strategies was born.

Q: Share an interesting or little known fact about you or your company:
A: In addition to my one-on-one coaching work I also do productivity and DiSC training for corporations.

Q: What is one piece of advice/words of business wisdom you would share with our members:

A: Reach out and ask for support. You can best serve your clients when you stay within your Zone of Genius.

Q: How long have you been involved with NAWBO?
A: I joined NAWBO during the Member Drive in 2014.

Q: What do you enjoy most or find most valuable about being a NAWBO member?

A: Being in a room with women who both are where I was with my business - and who are where I aspire to be - and knowing that I can learn from - and be supported by - both groups. Though I am a solopreneur, with NAWBO I am not alone.

Q: What is one little known fact about you that others might find fun or interesting?

A: I love the Cleveland Indians. EVERYTHING about the Cleveland Indians!
