Q: Tell us about your business:
A: Create and Connect Brilliantly helps individuals and organizations transform chaos into clarity through private coaching, holistic business mentoring, speaking & transformational events. As an advanced certified practitioner of Emotional Freedom Techniques (also known as EFT or tapping), my clients have access to a cutting edge process for empowerment that works quickly, addresses many sources of stress and gives them a life-long tool for self-care). Q: What inspired you to start your own business?
A: After trying EFT for the first time at a conference in Switzerland in 2001, I knew this was something that could help me and my stressed friends in the corporate world. EFT was new at the time, so I studied and became a leader in this process as the field emerged. One of the great things about EFT is that it works even better in group settings. I saw a need for small business women’s networking that included inspiration/personal development. From there the monthly Indigo Connection breakfast series came to be. Now in our 10th year, we meet monthly on the 2nd Wednesday. From there, it has grown to include writing a best-selling book, becoming a professional speaker, hosting 2 annual women’s retreats and transformational travel too.
Q: Share an interesting or little known fact about you or your company:
A: I am also an ordained interfaith minister and certified Soul Detective. I often perform marriage ceremonies as well as help people clear negative disruptions in their lives which may be connected to spirit attachments, past lives or negative energies coming from other people. My healing outreach also includes distance healing.
Q: What is one piece of advise/words of business wisdom you would share with our members:
A: Be mindful of what your body is telling you! Your body gives you subtle information to guide decisions, help you spend resources optimally and the energy to lead your business. If you have physical pain, headaches, digestive trouble, insomnia or a nagging symptom, slow down, pay attention and if necessary, find medical help! Getting optimal sleep, daily joy, a nutritious diet and regular exercise will also optimize your productivity. Honoring your body is a worthy business focus and needs to be part of your business plan.
Q: How long have you been involved with NAWBO?
A: I joined in April 2014
Q: What do you enjoy most or find most valuable about being a NAWBO member?
A: I have enjoyed the friendship with fellow members and learning something new from the speakers at the monthly functions. The west side luncheons have been nice opportunities to create deeper conversations. I really enjoyed working on the committee for the Healthy Women Succeed event this year too.
