Our history

In 1980, a vibrant group of Cleveland women saw the need for an organization focusing on the Woman Business Owner — that began the era of what was then known as WBOA (Women Business Owners Association). It was with great pride and enthusiasm that NAWBO of Cleveland celebrates 25 years of success in 2005!

Wanting to expand the Cleveland horizon, the organization became a Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) in 1992, which is located in Virginia. NAWBO is a membership, dues based organization whose focus is the woman business owner.
