Without NAWBO Cleveland's support, I would have never had the opportunity to brand my company, meet such awesome ladies and perfect my leadership skills through board & committee involvement. NAWBO has given me a comfortable place to bounce my ideas, get solid advice and forge strong business relationships. An opportunity that I didn't get in any other organization.

When I joined NAWBO, I was a little shy. NAWBO gave me opportunities to build confidence and gave purpose to my speaking up. When I started a new division of my business, my NAWBO network helped me find a person to enable me to create and manage this new venture, plus I found an early client among our Corporate Partners.

Even though I’d worked for myself for over 10 years, I never thought of myself as a Business Owner before being introduced to NAWBO. I wish I had known you all back then. The wealth of knowledge and experience in our membership, which is just a question away, is amazing. I don’t ever see myself leaving NAWBO; its support, resources, and friendships are just too important to me.

NAWBO Community has helped me in so many ways. I have grown so much as a woman personally and professionally through the support and guidance from other members, who are now friends. I have learned valued business skills from my participation in the Board and on committees. I have taken what I have learned and used it in my business and in other volunteer settings. I have found new business and worked with and used the services of other members. I have learned to network and feel comfortable in those settings now. The value I have received is much more than the cost of membership.

NAWBO's gift to me is my very own "three wise women" ... who took me under their wings in many different ways when I was fairly new in my business and a brand new NAWBO member. Even as they have retired from their own businesses, we have sustained our friendship. I could count on them to answer business questions and offer their personal experiences and words of wisdom. It is amazing what these women have learned from the school of hard knocks and are willing to share with others.

Gee, where do I start? In the past 26 years, I have been helped by so many facets of the group. The information I have gleaned from the speakers, the members, the programs and the friendships have helped me make solid decisions, avoid mistakes and plan for the future. I am sure I would not have the business I have now, nor the smarts to run it, had it not been for my NAWBO "sisters".
