NAWBO Accelerated Growth Series - A special offer for NAWBO Cleveland Members!

The board voted to offer free tuition to the first session of the NAWBO Accelerated Growth Series in San Francisco this April.  This is an incredible opportunity for growth-minded women business owners to receive customized curriculum and tools that you can apply to your business immediately.  It's a NAWBO exclusive series, and sponsored by our National Corporate Partner, Wells Fargo.

The free tuition offer is extended to NAWBO Cleveland Members who qualify, and who's application is accepted.  Airfare and hotel are the responsibility of the attendee.

Attention NAWBO Members:

All NAWBO Members (as of End of July 2010) now have a User record on the new website.  We uploaded the basic information from our database, but you will need to log in to complete your profile.

To login: your user id is your first initial and last name. Example: Jane Doe user would be jdoe
If you have a hyphenated last name, only the first of the two names is used: Example: Mary Smith-Jones, user is msmith

On this website, the login can be found at the top of the left margin.  For the first time only, click on the "Forgot Login?" link to retrieve your password.  You are given two choices:  
Lost Username
Lost Password

Click on the "Lost Password" option to have your password set for the first time.  You will be asked for the Username (described above), and your email address.  NOTE: the email address you enter must be the one NAWBO has on file for you.

An email with the new password will be sent to the email address entered.  it will come from "User Registration" and the subject line will say "clevelandnawbo.org - New password for: user" where 'user' is your user id.  if you don't see it, be sure to check your spam filter or junk mail folder.

Use the new password to login, then go to your Profile by clicking on your name in the left column.  Click on "Edit" and fill in the information.  It's that easy.  Now all your information with NAWBO is in your control, and you can edit and change it any time you want.

A couple of specific fields to pay attention to:

Member Discount field: this field will be used to create the list of members who offer other NAWBO members a discount.  You can change the offering any time you want.  So if there is a temporary sale you want to tell NAWBO members about, load it, and then go back later and take it wout when the sale is over.

Member News: This field will let you share your good news with the rest of us.  The Member News page on the Membership menu will list the information in this field, so when you've won and award, achieved a success you'd lile to share, load it here and let the rest of us know.  That field will stay there until you change it or remove it.  So keep it current.  And remember, it is not there to 'sell' to your fellow NAWBO members, so please keep it to announcements. the field will be monitored and inappropriate postings will be removed.

Featured Member: in the left margin of the site, random descriptions of members' businesses will display.  in order to have your business come up in this area, you must fill out the "Short Description" field, and set the "Random Diaply" flag to "yes".

Member Search: Visitors to our site will be able to search our on-line members to find your business.  The information you load in the Short Description field will be used for one of the ways to search.  Your name or company name are other ways.  We will be expanding the searchable fields, so if you have a suggestion, email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 1. "NAWBO user login" in the subject line
2. your user id
3. your name
4. description of the problem you're encountering. eg can't find the Login in link?  not receiving the email? getting an error?
5. If you are getting an error, please be sure to include the text in the error message.

Your query will be answered as soon as possible, but with the new site and all the members trying to login, the initial responses may take a little longer. So we ask for your patience.

The new website is intended to be a great resource for all NAWBO members, so please explore and see what there is.  More will be added over the next few months, so be sure to come back again.
